Our Story

Built in 1838, the building that now houses the Hôtel d'Artiste was formerly known as the Hôtel des Trois Pigeons. Since the beginning of the 19th century, it has been a place of hospitality and gastronomic renown, welcoming travellers and passing visitors.

After more than 180 years of existence, the establishment closed its doors at the end of the 20th century, leaving behind an architectural heritage that would remain abandoned for several years.

In 2016, contemporary artist Marina Bogacheff acquired the building and undertook its complete restoration. Driven by the desire to preserve the soul of the place while giving it a new lease on life, she restored its spaces to their original character and uniqueness. Today, each room in the hotel, like every piece in the restaurant, bears the mark of her artistic sensibility. Traces of the past converse with contemporary comfort, in a quest for balance between memory, aesthetics, and hospitality.

The Hôtel d'Artiste is today much more than a place of accommodation: it is a meeting place for art, thought and life.

In addition to its tourist activityit hosts artistic retreat stays full board, with access to workshops, as well as residence programsin a tranquil and inspiring setting where artists, researchers and thinkers from around the world can create, research and experiment in a supportive environment.
